BREAKING: AC Milan agree Andre Silva transfer
AC Milan striker Andre Silva will leave San Siro for the second time to join Sporting Lisbon on loan.
MILAN TRANSFER NEWS – The Andre Silva “soap opera” is finally coming to an end. After many failed attempts to sell the Portuguese striker to Spain or France, the former Porto will return to his homeland.
Carlo Pellegatti, a source very close to the Rossoneri, reveals that AC Milan have agreed to let Andre Silva join Sporting Lisbon on loan for €5 million. Sporting Lisbon will also pay the entire wage of Silva.
The two clubs are discussing the last remaining details of the deal including whether the loan will be with the right or obligation to make the move permanent at the end of the season for a fee of around €25 million.
Certainly AC Milan would prefer to sell Silva immediately but, considering the lack of pleasing offers, the club is willing to make a compromise. It would be pointless to keep the 23-year-old centre forward since he’s not part of coach Giampaolo’s plans.
AC Milan signed Andre Silva from Porto in the summer of 2017 for a record fee of €38 million. The Portuguese international scored only 2 goals in Serie A in his first season at San Siro but fared better in Europa League. Unfortunately, a loan move to Sevilla last season was equally disappointing with the Spanish club refusing to buy him.
