Despite an apparently serious injury against Lazio, Franck Kessie has recovered and will be available for AC Milan-Sassuolo just like Mattia Caldara.
Franck Kessie will be available for Saturday night’s match against Sassuolo. The Ivorian midfielder, who left the pitch on the 28th minute of the first half in Lazio-Milan, yesterday was at Milanello and had a session of therapies and massages to ease the pain in his right foot and try to dispose of the problem.
Thankfully the strong bruise is not enough to keep the rocky African midfielder for long, so Gattuso can count on his services for the upcoming Milan-Sassuolo at San Siro. The Rossoneri coach considers Kessie one of the most important players of the team. Franck puts lots of pressure on the opponents during the match and the team suffered his absence at the Olimpico in the second half.
But the good news for Gattuso does not stop only with Kessie’s flash recovery. The return of Mattia Caldara is now very close and the talented centre back will finally be able to give his contribute. The Italian will return on the pitch with the Milan Primavera team against Palermo. Excellent news because Caldara has made just appearance since joining Milan this summer from Juventus.
Mattia Caldara
Caldara played only 90 minutes in Europa League against Dudelange and then a serious injury on the achilles tendon compromised his season. The former Atalanta will initially be tested in the Primavera squad for 50-60 minutes, just like Andre Conti, and if everything goes according to plan Caldara will be part of Gattuso’s 21 man squad list for Sassuolo.
