Possible swap deal between AC Milan and PSG
Leonardo remains an admirer of Lucas Paqueta and in the summer will try to bring the Brazilian midfielder at PSG.
Lucas Paqueta is likely to leave AC Milan in the upcoming summer transfer window. Already in January the Rossoneri were ready to listen to offers, but none was deemed satisfying.
The price tag of Paqueta was set at 30 million euros, however, no club wanted to make such an investment. In fact, the performances of the Brazilian midfielder have been very disappointing this season. After the very promising displays in his first six months at San Siro, the former Flamengo has not been able to repeat the same form and many doubts have emerged about his real value.
Leonardo is an admirer of Paqueta and in fact it was Leo who brought Lucas at AC Milan in January 2019. Now the Brazilian sporting director works at Paris Saint-Germain and has not forgotten his former protege. In the summer, Leonardo will attempt again to sign Paqueta.
According to Tuttosport, AC Milan and PSG are considering a players swap. PSG want to sign Lucas Paqueta and in exchange are offering Leandro Paredes to AC Milan. For the Argentine midfielder it would be a return in Italy because he has played in the past in Serie A with Roma and Chievo. The Rossoneri could certainly use a new defensive midfielder.
The 25-year-old PSG midfielder in recent years has accumulated experience but has yet to make his breakthrough. Paredes has made 28 appearances with PSG so far. The Argentine international would love to return in Italy, and the proposed players swap is attractive for Milan but there is a problem. Leandro Paredes earns €7.3 million per year. The former Boca Juniors and Roma should accept a reduction of his salary in order to join AC Milan.
