AC Milan-Olympiacos, probable lineups
AC Milan host Olympiacos at San Siro in the second round of Europa League, today at 18:55 CET. The Rossoneri want to build on the good performance offered in the league.
The Rossoneri return to play in Europa League. After the not so brilliant performance against Dudelange in Luxembourg, Gennaro Gattuso’s squad will try to secure qualification for the next stage already today with a win against the Greek side of Olympiacos.
In yesterday’s press conference Rino revealed that he will not make many changes like in the opening game but still he will offer the opportunity to play to some “fresh” faces.
Pepe Reina between the posts. Cristian Zapata makes his seasonal debut against Olympiacos alongside captain Alessio Romagnoli while Ricardo Rodriguez and Davide Calabria complete the back line.
Another chance for Bakayoko in midfield, he will replace Kessie. Lucas Biglia and Giacomo Bonaventura start in their usual positions. Jose Mauri is being considered but at the moment Biglia remains in advantage. Another first minute start for Samu Castillejo, the former Villarreal will play this time on the left wing unlike what happened against Sassuolo. Gattuso has decided to give Hakan Calhanolgu a rest opting for Suso on the right.
Patrick Cutrone and Gonzalo Higuian have returned to training regularly. The young Italian striker was considered favorite yesterday but the Argentine is in advantage to start against the Greeks.
