Signing Ante Rebic on a permanent deal has become a priority for AC Milan after his excellent recent performances.
After a very disturbing start to the season, Ante Rebic has convinced everyone and has cemented his status as a regular starter in AC Milan’s eleven. That’s why Milan have started to move with absolute urgency to sign the Croatian striker on a permanent deal reports SportMediaset.
Currently Rebic is on loan for two years from Eintracht Frankfurt. The 26-year-old left winger against Fiorentina scored his 7th goal for the Rossoneri and was always dangerous for the Fiorentina defenders. In 2020, he has scored more than 50% of the AC Milan’s goals.
But there is a big problem, that is, Milan didn’t agree a future fee for Rebic. The Rossoneri, therefore, are enjoying Rebic’s great form, but at the same time, Milan are also valuing a player who is not really theirs. And the more time passes, the more difficult it will be to purchase the Croatian as his price tag risks increasing even more.
According to SportMediaset, the management plans to sign him immediately and have contacted the German club. Another factor that could complicate talks is that 50% of the transfer fee will go to Fiorentina, his former club before joining Eintracht Frankfurt in the summer of 2016.
Technical director Paolo Maldini spoke on the subject yesterday evening after the match with Fiorentina: “He is here on a two-year loan, so next year he will be with us. From there we will be free to negotiate and this operation is not tied to Andre Silva. We will have separate talks for the two players“.
When AC Milan and Eintracht Frankfurt swapped Ante Rebic with Andre Silva both players were rated at €25 million. However, considering the recent performances of the Croatian his price tag is now close to €35 – 40 million. Milan must act as soon as possible, otherwise, at this rate, Rebic’s price risks reaching such figures that can become unattainable for Milan.
