Signing a new centre forward is a top priority for AC Milan. Many are the players being considered and now Radamel Falcao is the latest to join the list of targets.
Today La Gazzetta dello Sport reveals that Massimiliano Mirabelli at the beginning of May met Jorge Mendes to discuss the signing of Radamel Falcao. The Colombian bomber earns about 7 million euros a year and Monaco is certainly not willing to give him away for free. It is true that the former Porto is no longer a young player but in the last two seasons he has scored 54 goals in 79 appearances. Not bad.
AC Milan will have to evaluate what kind of investment to make on the 32 year old striker, if he will be the one chosen to reinforce Gennaro Gattuso’s attack. Considering the experience, technical quality and his feeling with the goal he can be very suited to the demands of the rossonero coach. Leaving behind the negative experiences in England with Manchester United and Chelsea, also conditioned by several physical problems, his return to Monaco has definitely helped him revive his career.
Falcao has returned to be the bomber he once was at the time of Porto and Atletico Madrid. Negotiations are in early stages so it’s still too soon to say what are the chances of the Red and Blacks, given that for now AC Milan’s transfer capabilities are a bit restrained by the vicissitudes with UEFA. Once that matter is solved, hopefully, it will be possible to start the purchase campaign for real.
