AC Milan are keeping on Marseille winger Florian Thauvin who will certainly be one of the biggest bargains in the summer.
Florian Thauvin is ready to leave Marseille in the summer. The 27-year-old right winger is determined to change club after a whole season spent away from the pitch. Thauvin’s contract expires on 30 June 2021 and if Marseille don’t sell him in the summer they risk losing him for free next year.
Until a few months ago the Europe’s biggest clubs had set their sights on the French talent but after a long absence from the pitch many started to lose interest. However, Thauvin continues to be an in-demand player.
Florian Thauvin aims to relaunch his career and earn a a place in the French national team for the European Championships. According to Le10Sport (via MilanLive.it), AC Milan are keeping tabs on Florian Thauvin. Thauvin’s time at Marseille has been excellent scoring 78 goals and assisting 51 in 237 appearances.
The Rossoneri will have to watch out for the Italian competition from Roma but also from Valencia and English clubs. Despite being injured for one year Thauvin returned to play football in the last match of Ligue 1 before the Coronavirus stop.
With his contract due to expire in 2021, the long injury and the economic crisis due to the Coronavirus, Marseille could be forced to sell the World Cup winner for half of his real value. Not long ago Thauvin was rated at €40 million but Marseille are willing to sell him for 20 million.
