Claudio Marchisio to AC Milan is a realistic possibility. The parties are negotiating for a while and an agreement is very close.

A simple late August rumor? Nah. The negotiation between AC Milan and Juventus to try to bring, after Leonardo Bonucci, even Claudio Marchisio in San Siro seems to have well established and realistic roots.

What initially seemed like a provocation, caused by the unexpected purchase of the Italian international defender from the rossoneri, is becoming an absolutely concrete opportunity. At least this is what the current edition of Il Giornale writes, increasingly convinced that by August 31, Milan will make an major thrust to try to bring Juventus number 8 in Milnello.

The initial words of Beppe Marotta, general manager of Juventus, seemed to definitely dismiss the talks about a possible farewell of Marchisio, after spending his all career in Torino. Yesterday Marotta gave the following statement: “Claudio will not move, he is unsellable. There are no symptoms of dissatisfaction on his part.” Yet the real will of the 31 year old midfield is not in line with that of the bianconero club, who consider him important but no longer an indisputable starter, especially after the arrival of players like Matuidi or Douglas Costa.

Il Giornale therefore is certain that Marchisio and Milan are in constant contact and informal talks to find a basic agreement to convince the player to follow Bonucci in the rossoneri adventure. And according to sources close to the family of the player, the negotiation is in a good point, so much that it could formally be closed within a few days. However, Juventus remain to be convinced, as they at the moment seem to be unhappy with the idea of seeing another symbol of the team, furthermore an Italian one, leave Vinovo to land in Milanello. The risk is that many Juventus fans may not receive well such a transaction and criticize harshly the club.
