Milan make offer for Sevilla striker
AC Milan are after Sevilla outcast Luis Muriel. The former Sampdoria striker will arrive on loan reports Marca.
In recent weeks there has been a lot of talk about who will be the new striker AC Milan will sign in January. The Rossoneri need an extra offensive player and can not rely only on the starting duo Higuain-Cutrone, who have yet to find the ideal feeling. Despite holding tight the fourth place AC Milan must perform better if they want to qualify for Champions so just Lucas Paqueta is not enough.
The number one target of the Rossoneri was Zlatan Ibrahimovic but the former Milan striker preferred to stay in USA and renew with the Los Angeles Galaxy. The next in line was Fabio Quagliarella, captain of Sampdoria and a low-cost solution, but just like Ibrahimovic he has chosen to remain at his club and sign a new contract.
The new alternative for the attack is Luis Muriel of Sevilla. The Colombian is a concrete track and according to Spanish newspaper Marca the parties are very close to reaching a deal. Muriel has been on the sight of Milan for some time. He has played in Italy for many years before joining Sevilla for 21,5 million euros from Sampdoria last year.
Marca reports that the departure of Luis Muriel in January is guaranteed. The cost of the former Sampdoria and Udinese is about 12 million euros but Milan want a different deal. The Rossoneri are proposing loan with the obligation to buy at the end of the season. The figures of the operation are still unknown. It is now up to Seville to decide whether to sell or hold Muriel, so far not ‘central’ in the project of Mr. Machin.
