Biglia out at least 15 days
Lucas Biglia should have been on the pitch last night in Catania against Real Betis. But unfortunately the 31 year old Argentine midfielder suffered a muscular injury two days ago and had to quit.
La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that it is not yet clear how much the player will have to stay out of the pitch. The club is expecting the detailed results of the in-depth examinations but the medical staff is expecting Bilgia to be sidelined for about 15 days. Only these specific controls will determine the extent of the problem.
Initially, there was talk of a mere muscular fatigue, then the possibility of a stretch injury was popped up. The picture is not yet fully clear but of course AC Milan are hopping Bilgia’s absence won’t go beyond two weeks. The Argentine will miss the double Europa League encounter with KF Shkendija and the opening Serie A match against Crotone.
It is not an injury that will force the club to move on the market, according to La Gazzetta. Although, yesterday there were talks about a possible attempt for Milan Badelj of Fiorentina, a player who a year ago was was a specific request of manager Vincenzo Montella.
