Gattuso considering 3-4-3 formation to help Conti and Caldara
AC Milan coach Gennaro Gattuso is considering a change of formation to better accommodate Andrea Conti and Mattia Caldara when they return fit.
After the failed experiment of last season Gennaro Gattuso is ready to try again. Former Rossoneri coach Vincenzo Montella was the first to implement the three man defense but it proved to be unsuccessful. Now Rino wants to make another attempt.
The AC Milan coach is eagerly awaiting the recovery of Mattia Caldara and Andrea Conti, with whom he might even consider a change of formation. According to Tuttosport, the two former Atlanta could help the Rossoneri transition from 4-3-3 to a new lineup of 3-4-3.
In that case Romagnoli, Caldara and Musacchio would compose the central defense with Rodriguez (or Bonaventura) and Andrea Conti on the flanks. There would be place for only two players in midfield with Kessie and Lucas Biglia favorites over the Italian.
