AC Milan find Veretout alternative

With Jordan Veretout set to join Roma, AC Milan have turned their attention to Fulham midfielder Jean Michael Seri.

MILAN TRANSFER NEWS – After weeks of meetings and rumors, the fate of Jordan Veretout has finally been decided. Roma have agreed with Fiorentina the purchase of the French midfielder for 17 million euros plus 2 million in bonuses. Now AC Milan have shifted their focus on Jean Seri.

The Rossoneri negotiated with Fiorentina for weeks but it was impossible to reach an agreement. AC Milan didn’t want to meet Fiorentina’s demands and did not accept to increase their last offer of 16 million euros. Fulham’s midfielder Seri becomes the number one target in midfield.

The 27-year-old central midfielder was one of the best players in League 1 until his surprise transfer to Fulham last season. Things didn’t work well for Seri in England with Fulham relegated to Championship. He will leave this summer after just one season in the island with his agent confirming that Seri is on the market for 25 million euros.

According to Sportmediaset, will soon present a loan offer of 2 million euros with the right to make the move permanent at the end of the season for 15 million more. Galatasaray are also very interested in his services.

Fulham signed Jean Seri for 30 million euros after three fantastic seasons in France with Nice. He made 32 Premier League appearances scoring once and assisting 3. Coach Marco Giampaolo meanwhile hopes to have a new midfielder under his orders before Saturday’s departure to USA.
