Fiorentina reveal Nikola Kalinic’s price tag
Nikola Kalinic is set to become Milan’s new singing in attack. The rossoneri have offered 25 millions for his services while Fiorentina want 5 more.
MILAN TRANSFER NEWS – These days AC Milan are announcing one signing per week and have no intention to rest now. Unstoppable in the transfer market the rossoneri are working on several targets to complete Montella’s team as soon as possible. After Andre Silva, Il Corriere dello Sport insists the next arrival will be again an attacker. Marco Fassone and Massimiliano Mirabelli have identified Nikola Kalinic who plays for Fiorentina as the ideal player to join the red and blacks.
The 29 year old centre forward possesses different characteristics in comparison with the Portuguese. Manager Montella considers that the two players complete each other technically. Kalinic has told Fiorentina he intends to change team in the summer transfer window with AC Milan being his priority choice. In the winter transfer window the viola refused a 40 million euros offer from China but are willing to negotiate for much less this time even though the player has a release clause of 50 millions.
In the beginning Fassone and Mirabelli were aiming to bring in San Siro a single attacker that would cost between 60 to 80 millions with Aubameyang, Belotti and Morata the main targets. They later abandoned the idea considering it too risky (read here) and changed strategy in the transfer market. After Andre Silva, who can also play as a winger, Nikola Kalinic is set to become Milan’s new attacker. He is considered to be a perfect fit for Milan seeing the vast international experience and his goal scoring records. Fiorentina have communicated Milan they value Kalinic at 30 millions and will not settle for anything less. The rossoneri were hopping to sign the Croatian for 25 millions but can offer Fiorentina a player in exchange with Bertolacci and Poli the most likely to move in opposite direction. Friday, Fassone and Mirabelli will meet Fiorentina’s sports director Corvino to close a dea.
