Fantasy, defender and winger: Leonardo and Kaka in Brazil

AC Milan, or rather, Leonardo is fishing in Brazil. With the help of Kaka the technical director is scouting some of the most promising names in South America.

Iago Maidana | Atletico Mineiro

The second defender that Leonardo and Kaka are monitoring is Iago Maidana who plays for Atletico Mineiro on loan from Sao Paulo. The 22 year old Maidana is also a centre back and a target of Roma and Sassuolo.

Only last year the Brazilian defender started to taste first team football while on loan at Parana Clube but it was not enough to earn him a steady spot at Sao Paulo so he was loaned again.

Curiosity surrounds the 22 year old who is considered a promising player in his homeland but has yet to make his breakthrough. Perhaps technical director Leonardo has seen something special in him.
