Milan’s evolving transfer plans
This are intensive days in Casa Milan. Fassone and Mirabelli are selling various unnecessary players and at the same time are considering future signings.
Ten signings so far but AC Milan have no intention to stop. After the initial spending spree the rossoneri are concentrated in selling players that are not considered important for the future projects of the club. Marco Fassone and Massimiliano Mirabelli still need to complete the team and after Carlos Bacca’s recent farewell even M’baye Niang is about to depart (read here).
Moving in is Nikola Kalinic from Fiorentina. The 29 year old Croatian forward will not be the only purchase in attack, especially now that The French striker is expected to leave. The 22 year old striker is close to Spartak Moscow and Milan will earn around 20 million euros from his sale, a considerable sum that will be reinvested in another offensive player. Apparently the rossoneri are thinking about the arrival of Ajax prospect Kasper Dolberg and an offer of 40 millions may be more than enough to bring the talented Danish forward in San Siro. But that’s not the end of the mercato for the rossoneri.
AC Milan plan to add another midfielder, Renato Sanches was chased for a long time but now negotiations are in standby. Fiorentina have announced that Milan Badelj will remain in Firenze while for Lucas Torreira of Sampdoria 20 millions may be needed. A new reinforcement is a necessity not only because of Lucas Biglia’s injury but also because two other midfielders like Jose Sosa And Jose Mauri are preparing their suitcases.
Speaking of defenders, if Gabriel Paletta and Gustavo Gomez were to leave both the team with Turkey as their next destination, Milan could opt for another signing in defense, especially if manager Montella aims to use often the defense of three. In that case the only centre backs remaining would be Leo Bonucci, Alessio Romagnoli, Cristian Zapata and Mateo Musacchio.
