Club legend suggests the best striker AC Milan should sign
Demetrio Albertini has released a long interview for Gazzetta dello Sport. The legendary AC Milan midfielder talks about the possible new signings of the Rossoneri.
Albertini backs publicly the candidacy of Sven Botman for the defense: “I really think so. He comes from a school, that of Ajax, which trains defenders capable of both marking and building. Milan have a very international, proactive and organized game. Pioli needs compatible defenders with this system and Botman is one of them“.
Regarding the midfielder Albertini is optimistic about Ndombele: “There are good midfielders who have ended up on the margins of their respective teams. I am thinking of Ndombele of Tottenham. It would be necessary to understand under what conditions he could leave, perhaps on loan. Even if such a solution is a bit risky. If you have to replace Kessie and Bennacer who will return in February, and you sign a player looking for space only for six months, how can you charge him“.
However, Albertini would bet blindly on a player already purchased by AC Milan, Yacine Adli, who is doing very well in France. “Adli intrigues me a lot, if there is room for maneuver with Bordeaux, I hope Milan bring him in Italy immediately. It would be the ideal solution compared to what I said before. He is young, he is already yours, he must mature and learn to make his way in the midst of high-level competition. And he knows how to juggle between many positions, with Pioli such players integrate quickly“.
On Renato Sanches. “He is young but he already has a lot of experience between club and national team, an atypical modern regista, technically very gifted. Also suitable for the Pioli model. Replacing Kessie, however, would be hard for anyone…“
AC Milan must soon make a significant investment for the signing of a new striker. Someone that can follow in the footsteps of Zlatan Ibrahimovic. Dusan Vlahovic is considered the ideal player but Fiorentina’s 70 million euros asking price is prohibitive for the Rossoneri.
Albertini would love to see Vlahovic wear the Rossoneri jersey but he has an alternative name in mind. “I would like a striker like Vlahovic, young and with 20 goals per season. I confess that I am a little sorry not to see Milan linked with these type players. As plan B I’m thinking of Divock Origi from Liverpool. Origi would score a lot in Serie A. And Scudetto is won thanks to the strikers, as a midfielder I can tell you that…“
