Lucas Lima is set to become AC Milan’s news player. According to recent reports the Brazilian star could join the rossoneri in January on a free transfer.
Champions League qualification is crucial for the future of AC Milan. The club invested so much in the summer to achieve this goal and is ready to further strengthen the group in January to give more alternatives to Vincenzo Montella.
Massimiliano Mirabelli has never stopped working on the market and continues to keep his eyes open. In the shopping list a midfielder who can help the regular starters rest is top target. The names are well known: Jakub Jantko, Seko Fofana and Alfred Duncan. But the rossoneri instead could prefer to buy a more attacking-minded player to offer the coach a tactical alternative. Santos star Lucas Lima is not a new profile: in Brazil rumors had emerged about Milan’s interest in him a few days ago, now Sky Sport confirms everything.
According to Sky, in the last few hours contacts between the red and black club and the Brazilian footballer have progressed considerably. His current contract is due to expire in December and could join the rossoneri on a free transfer. There was no confirmation from the club regarding the matter, but it seems that the talks are in an advanced stage and Milan are preparing for his arrival.
27 years old Lucas Lima is an attacking midfielder that can easily play as winger on both sides. The classical and quality Brazilian talent but one that does not have a great feeling with the goal: only 10 nets with Santos shirt in more than 100 games. His dribbling skills can be definitely useful to Milan, but he is not the player who can turn things around this season. The Brazilian has even other offers on the table, including a very rich one, probably from China, however a call from Milan is hard to ignore.
