Mendes pushes James Rodriguez to join Milan
Agent Jorge Mendes continues to push James Rodriguez to AC Milan. The Colombian is ready to reduce his salary for the Rossoneri.
With the sale of Jens Petter Hauge to Eintracht Frankfurt, AC Milan will soon have new resources available for the attacking midfielder who will take Hakan Calhanoglu’s role in the AC Milan squad.
The names that circulate are always the same: the number one pick is Hakim Ziyech of Chelsea, Ilicic, Vlasic, Ceballos, Sabitzer and Isco are also liked, but the one who could arrive under more favorable economic conditions could be James Rodriguez.
Tuttosport (via MilanNews.it) reports that his agent Jorge Mendes is on excellent terms with the Rossoneri managers and is pushing a lot to bring his client to Milan. The well-known Portuguese agent, after the farewell of Carlo Ancelotti, wants to take the Colombian star away from Everton and he is continuously offering him to AC Milan.
In a recent interview, the 30-year-old attacking midfielder hinted at a possible move to Italy declaring that Serie A is the only high-level European league missing from his curriculum. While the talent of James Rodriguez is not under discussion, his physical condition is.
The Rossoneri are interested in the Colombian but have some doubts concerning his physical state. Rodriguez on the other hand is ready to reduce his salary and “settle” for a contract of 5 million euros per season in order to join AC Milan. Reaching an agreement with Everton is not a problem with the Premier League side asking for a transfer fee of less than €10 million.
