Argentine playmaker approves Milan move

Matias Zaracho

Fabrizio Romano reports that Argentine starlet Matias Zaracho has give his approval to join AC Milan in the summer.

For months now there has been talk of AC Milan’s interest in Matias Zaracho, the playmaker of Racing Avellaneda that the Rossoneri have been following for quite some time. The 21-year-old attacking midfielder is expected to join a European club when the summer transfer window opens.

AC Milan opened negotiations with Racing Avellaneda in January but failed to reach a deal. The signing of Zaracho required an investment of around 20 million euros but the management was more concentrated in offloading players during the winter market.

Today, Sky Sport journalist, Fabrizio Romano, confirms that Zaracho remains a priority for AC Milan. He is a young, quality and tactically flexible player (he can also play as attacking midfielder or winger). Romano reveals that AC Milan have to meet his agent Augustin Jimenez several times in recent months according to Milanlive.it.

The Argentine playmaker wants to test himself in Europe, even if he remains attached to Racing. Zaracho has already given the go-ahead for the move to take place, now it’s up to Milan and Racing Avellaneda to agree a transfer fee. Much will also depend on the permanence of AC Milan’s current management.

Matias Zaracho has a release clause of €25 million while AC Milan’s offer in January was around €15 million. This season the Argentine talent has made 16 appearances scoring four goals and assisting one. Many Spanish club are also keeping tabs in him but the player has prioritized a move to the Rossoneri who were the first major club to express interest.
