Massara hints important contract extension
AC Milan sporting director Frederic Massara, confirms that the Rossoneri will extend the expiring contract of coach Stefano Pioli.
AC Milan sporting director, Frederic Massara, was interviewed by Sky Sport before Bologna vs Milan which ended 4-2 in favor of Stefano Pioli’s side: “We are very satisfied. There is great merit from the team, the players and the coach who do not make the absences weigh. We are proud and happy, we want to stay up in the standings“.
The match against Bologna marked the 100th appearance of Stefano Pioli as AC Milan coach but his contract expires at the end of the season. However, Frederic Massara confirms that the Italian coach will continue to guide AC Milan for a long time.
“Congratulations to the coach for his 100 appearances, all of a high level. He is doing a great job. We are very happy, there is great harmony and mutual sharing in continuing this path and we are convinced that we will continue for a long time with him as coach“, said Massara.
The AC Milan sporting director is asked about the Rossoneri’s chances of winning the Scudetto this season. “Let’s think one game at a time. For now our only focus is Bologna. They are a strong team and the best Milan will be needed to win.“
Massara’s interview ends with a comment on Zlatan Ibrahimovic. “We are super happy to have Ibrahimovic back on the pitch from the first minute. We missed him. He will make a huge contribution to the team.”
