3 Sampdoria players could follow Giampaolo at Milan

Marco Giampaolo will be the new coach AC Milan. The Italian could reportedly bring three Sampdoria players with him at San Siro.

Belgium international Dennis Praet is the first name in Giampaolo’s list of targets. The 25-year-old central midfielder has established himself as one of the best players in his position in Serie A.

When describing his midfielder recently, Giampaolo said: “Praet can become the Modric of tomorrow“. That’s how much the Italian believes in Praet so it’s no wonder why he would want the 25-year-old with him at AC Milan.

Sampdoria signed Dennis Praet in 2016 from Anderlecht for 10 million euros. In his three years in Italy he has been a constant performer and seems ready for an important step forward.

According to reports, Sampdoria are willing to sell their most prized asset if an offer of 25 million euros arrived. When asked about the possibility of a transfer to AC Milan Praet said: “Milan? I’m am ambitious and ready for a top club“.

With Jose Mauri, Bertolacci and Montolivo leaving on a free transfer, and Bakayoko returning to Chelsea, AC Milan will need to sign several players to complete the midfield department. After Stefano Sensi, it seems like Dennis Praet could be the second summer signing.
