Manuel Locatelli, one of the most promising talents of AC Milan, is finding it hard to find space this season and wants a loan move to earn more play time.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport latest transfer news. Manuel Locatelli has given his consent to a transfer to Genoa. Now the ball is in the hands of the Rossoneri club, which must respond to a loan-only offer from Genoa. There has already been a first refusal in recent days but now that the young midfielder his given his approval things may change.

Surely AC Milan must make their own assessments, also because giving away Locatelli would mean entering the market to sign another midfielder. Considering the three competitions (Serie A, Italian Cup, Europa League), it would not be ideal to let Manuel leave without getting anyone else to properly cover his role in midfielder. A new central midfielder would be a necessity. But both Marco Fassone and Massimiliano Mirabelli have so far denied the possibility of doing incoming market operations unless Udinese decide to accept Milan bid for Jakub Jankto.

To Locatelli, five months on loan at Genoa would do well. There he would have the opportunity to play with greater continuity and without too much pressure. An experience that has proven very useful for other players. Just think of Jesus Suso, transformed after the months spent in Genoa under the tenure of Gian Piero Gasperini. Now on the bench of Genoa there is Davide Ballardini, a technician who too knows how to value the youngsters and could do the same with the 20 year old red and black.
