AC Milan are about to complete the signing of Mario Mandzukic. The former Juventus striker has been offered a six months contract.
Mario Mandzukic has become, in the last hours, the hot name of the Rossoneri’s mercato. After the signing of Souailho Meite, the Croatian could become the next addition to Stefano Pioli’s squad. The player, an excellent striker, could be the ideal replacement for Ibrahimovic in case of need. The two giant strikers could also play together with Mario deployed on the wings.
Nobody disputes the qualities of the Croatian. What caused discussions after the news of Milan’s interest was his age and his period of inactivity given his free agent status (6-7 months). It is equally true that Mandzukic has never stopped training ever since, therefore his physical condition may not allow Mario to contribute immediately.
According to reports by journalist Nicolo Schira, contacts between AC Milan and the Croatian agent are increasingly intense. Tomorrow will be the decisive day for the signature of the 34-year-old. Mandzukic has refused offers from other European clubs and has prioritized a move to AC Milan.
Schira reports that AC Milan have offered Mandzukic a contract until the end of the season with wages of 1.8 million euros. The Rossoneri prefer to sign a striker with past experience in Serie A and postpone important investments of the summer.
The former Atletico Madrid and Bayern Munich star played for four season with Juventus. During his four years in Italy he won Serie A each season and three Coppa Italia trophies.
Mario #Mandžukić is getting closer to #ACMilan as a free agent. Ready a contract until the end of the season. The croatian striker wants to comeback in Serie A and Rossoneri are his priority. Many clubs are looking him (Besiktas, CSKAMosca). Tomorrow the day to finalize the deal
