The race for AC Milan midfielder Ismael Bennacer is heating up with Manchester United ready to challenge City and PSG.
The race for Ismael Bennacer has just begun. The 50 million euro release clause of the talented defensive midfielder does not scare the admirers of the Algeria international. The clubs on the trail of the former Empoli are certainly not second-rate.
PSG were the first to express interest in Bennacer but their opening bid of 30 million euros was immediately rejected by AC Milan. Manchester City too are keeping tabs on Ismael.
With the payment of the release clause, AC Milan can not do anything but Bennacer’s desire, to date, is to continue playing for the Rossoneri. Bennacer has already rejected an offer from Man City last summer when he played with Empoli.
Competition for Ismael Bennacer is only increasing with Manchester United being the latest club to express interest in the 22-year-old defensive midfielder.
Daily Mail reports that Man United have now entered the race to recruit Bennacer this summer. Coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side are reportedly keen to bring in Bennacer when the summer transfer window opens.
