AC Milan hosted the management of Mallorca yesterday to discuss the transfer of four Rossoneri players to La Liga.
MILAN TRANSFER NEWS – With Patrick Cutrone set to join Wolverhampton for a fee of €25 million, bonuses included, AC Milan have turned their attention to other players that must be sold quickly to gather funds for new signings.
A chance to reduce the ranks came from yesterday’s meeting between AC Milan and the managing director of Mallorca. The Spanish club has just returned to La Liga after many difficult years.
According to Calciomercato, the Mallorca manager was to Casa Milan yesterday for an important meeting with Paolo Maldini and company. The intent of the Spanish manager was to evaluate the possibility of transferring some Rossoneri players to Mallorca during the summer transfer window.
Mallorca are interested in four AC Milan players that are expected to leave the Rossoneri soon: goalkeeper Alessandro Plizzari, defenders Ivan Strinic and Diego Laxalt and winger Samu Castillejo. However, the Spanish club has proposed loan moves due to the limited transfer funds that don’t allow Mallorca to spend a lot this summer.
AC Milan and Mallorca will have another meeting soon even though an agreement looks difficult to achieve. The only player likely to join Mallorca is young goalkeeper Plizzari. The 19-year-old Italy U-20 star needs more play time and AC Milan could approve his temporary transfer to La Liga.
