Maldini held talks with midfielder family ahead of summer transfer
Paolo Maldini held talks with the family of highly rated midfielder Kristjan Asllani who has been linked with a summer move to AC Milan.
Only one match is missing to understand if AC Milan will win the Scudetto this season. After the great victory against Atalanta, Stefano Pioli’s squad needs only one point to lift the Serie A title for the 19th time in their history. Off the pitch Maldini and Massara are continuing their work as usual without any distractions.
AC Milan are very interested in Empoli midfielder Kristjan Asllani. Asllani has attracted the attention of many important European clubs with his great performances this season. Manchester City, Inter and Napoli are following him closely besides the Rossoneri.
However, AC Milan have moved in advance the secure the services of Asllani. The 20-year-old Albania international is a defensive midfielder that also plays as central or attacking midfielder. A complete player with excellent attacking traits and a €12 million price tag.
The AC Milan technical director is reportedly bewitched by the talent and potential of Kristjan Asllani. Journalist Alfredo Pedulla revealed that Paolo Maldini has spoken with the midfielder’s family. The AC Milan director explained the club’s strategy of letting Asllani stay at Empoli on loan for one more season before eventually moving to San Siro.
That’s the same approach AC Milan followed for Yacine Adli last summer. Empoli too would like to keep their starlet for another year with president Fabrizio Corsi confirming their intention. Another season at Empoli would be quite fruitful for the development of the young midfielder.
