Lucas Paqueta could be the last player to leave the Rossoneri in January with AC Milan currently in talks with Fiorentina.

The Rossoneri are very active in the last hours of the January transfer window. With Ricardo Rodriguez, Piatek and Suso leaving, the management has completed the signing of Alexis Saelemaekers from Anderlecht to replace the Spaniard.

Nevertheless, Lucas Paqueta could be the last player to leave with the Rossoneri currently in talks with Fiorentina. According to Tuttomercatoweb.com, AC Milan and Fiorentina are back in the negotiation table regarding the Brazilian midfielder.

The Viola are interested in signing Paqueta on loan, Milan are willing to let him go for the remaining of the season while the player is desperate for more play time. It seems like all the stars have aligned but the purchase of Alfred Duncan from Sassuolo could stop Fiorentina from guaranteeing Paqueta a starting role.

Tuttomercatoweb reports that the Rossoneri have offered Paqueta to Fiorentina rather than the Viola asking for the former Flamengo. The sale of Paqueta is something that the management is not currently considering unless an offer of €35 million arrives.

According to MilanNews.it, AC Milan’s reluctance to offer Fiorentina an option fee on Paqueta could be a deal breaker as the Viola do not want to valorize other players only to lose them in six months.
