Lucas Biglia, one of the most important AC Milan players, will miss the majority of the remaining season due to injury.
AC Milan are dealing with an emergency crisis but the situation keeps getting worse. Lucas Biglia was the last name to join emergency room, after a bright start of the season he will stay out for much more then initially thought.
With an official statement the Rossoneri club offered more details on the physical condition of Lucas Biglia and his recovery time.
The injury, suffered by Lucas Biglia last Wednesday during the morning training session, involved the lesion of the myotendinous junction (MTJ) of the medial segment of the right calf that required surgery. The operation, carried out today in Finland by Professor Sakari Orava in the presence of the Team’s doctor, Stefano Mazzoni, was successful. Full healing will take four months.
AC Milan informed that the Argentinian midfielder has undergone surgery in Finland yesterday. Biglia will have to stay out for four months and we will probably see him back on the pitch at the end of February.
Another problem for coach Gennaro Gattuso, who loses a cornerstone in midfield. So far Rino has replaced the former Lazio star with Bakayoko but the return of Riccardo Montolivo may offer additional coaches to the coach. At least until the winter transfer window opens.
