Lozano: AC Milan were right but now it may be too late

Mexican star Hirving Lozano is expected to be one of the best World Cup revelations this year. The talented left winger is an old transfer target of AC Milan.

Hirving Lozano made a name for himself scoring 19 goals and assisting 11 times in his first season in Europe with PSV Eindhoven. But apparently that was just the beginning with the talented Mexican left winger securing a precious victory for his national team yesterday against the reigning Wold Cup champions of Germany.

While things couldn’t get better for the Dutch club it must have been tough for AC Milan. The Rossoneri have been scouting the player for some time now. Sports director Massimiliano Mirabelli had followed him closely, together with his teammate Gaston Pereiro, and had discussed his possible purchase with Gattuso.

Problems linked with the club’s future, ownership issues and probable Europe League ban from UEFA postponed any possible negotiations. PSV paid 8 million euros to sign him one year ago from Pachuca but will demand at least 35-40 if performances like this continue. Even though the Rossoneri could make an official attempt for Lozano after the World Cup they risk facing International competition.
