Liverpool are looking to rebuild their attack this summer and are linked with transfer swap for AC Milan winger Rafael Leao.

The Rafael Leao puzzle is coming to an end very shortly, in one way or another. The Portuguese left winger is in negotiations to extend his contract, with his current agreement expiring in 2024. If Leo says no even to the Rossoneri’s latest proposal then he will bid farewell to the club at the end of the season with AC Milan having no intention to repeat another Donnarumma/Kessie situation.

Meanwhile, many clubs are on alert on the future of the 23-year-old winger with Premier League being his most likely destination in case of a departure. Liverpool have joined the race for Leao’s services with Manchester City and Chelsea having expressed their interest earlier. The Reds are preparing for a summer rebuild and Rafael Leao is on their radar.

Klopp is looking to shake up his attack with new players expected to join Liverpool when the summer transfer window opens. According to reports form Italy and England, Liverpool are trying to tempt AC Milan into the sale of Rafael Leao by offering them Luis Diaz in exchange plus cash.

Luis Diaz had a stellar first half-season in England. He had an immediate impact helping Jurgen Klopp’s side reach the Champions League final and also enjoy domestic success. In the new season, Luis Diaz had scored 4 goals and assisted 3 in 12 appearances before a suffering a long-term knee injury last October.

Despite his fantastic form in England, AC Milan would prefer to sell Leao in a cash-only deal. Furthermore, the long injury of Luis Diaz raises serious concerns about whether Diaz will be able to regain his form when he returns on the pitch. AC Milan have set a €100 million price tag for Rafael Leao for any club that would like to acquire his services this summer.
