Spanish giants Real Madrid are the latest club to join the race for Franck Kessie. The AC Milan midfielder is set to leave as a free agent.
The relationship between AC Milan and Real Madrid is excellent. The two clubs have done business in recent years, allowing Theo Hernandez and Brahim Diaz to join the Rossoneri. Other Madrid players like Dani Ceballos and Marcos Asensio have been close to joining the Rossoneri while Ricardo Kaka’s transfer remains AC Milan’s most expensive sale.
According to reports from Spain, the Los Blancos are looking to shop in Italy. Todofichajes writes that Real Madrid have intensified contracts with AC Milan midfielder Franck Kessie.
Real Madrid are reportedly looking for a replacement for Casemiro and AC Milan’s box-to-box midfielder is high on Carlo Ancelotti’s list of targets. The 24-year-old midfielder has refused to extend his contract with Milan and will be available on a free transfer at the end of the season.
AC Milan are not willing to go beyond 6.5 million per year while the former Atalanta is asking for around 10 million per season. Paris Saint-Germain are Franck Kessie’s most likely destination with Tottenham Hotspur recently joined the race.
Real Madrid are among the clubs that can guarantee Kessie a very lucrative contract. While his future clubs remains a mystery, what is certain is that the career of “the tank” at San Siro is coming to an end. Calciomercato adds that the former Atalanta has informed the AC Milan management that he will stay until the end of the season and them leave.
