AC Milan have identified Boubacar Kamara as the ideal substitute of Kessie but Juventus’s interest could derail their plans.
Many clubs are using this period of international break to work on the transfer market. The January window opens in a month and a half so clubs need to be prepared. AC Milan are expected to be active just like last summer.
In particular, the Rossoneri are looking for a new central midfielder to replace Frack Kessie. The Ivorian has repeatedly rejected to extend his contract and is set to leave as a free agent at the end of the season. Paolo Maldini’s top pick to replace Franck Kessie is Boubacar Kamara.
The 21-year-old is in a similar situation with Kessie. The Marseille midfielder is not signing the renewal and will be available soon on a free transfer. Kamara is considered the perfect substitute for Kessie. A quality all-round physical midfielder and quite skilled technical. In addition, Kamara would be a low-cost solution. The Rossoneri have opened talks with the Marseille star since the summer but a Serie A rival has joined the race.
Tuttosport reports that Juventus are very interested in Boubacar Kamara. Despite his young age Kamara has made over 120 appearances so his potential is not under discussion. Juventus coach Allegri has asked for new signings in midfield but, unlike the Rossoneri, the Binaconeri have a different strategy.
Juventus are trying to purchase Kamara in January and avoid the high competition next summer. AC Milan instead are interested in a summer move. In addition, Juventus have a very good relationship with Marseille and especially with president Pablo Longoria.
An unexpected obstacle for AC Milan who have already established contacts with Kamara’s agents. The sudden acceleration of Juventus is a big problem but the Rossoneri believe they will convince the French midfielder to join them due to the project they have set up for him.
