From Spain: AC Milan looking at Real Madrid star

MILAN TRANSFER NEWS – AC Milan are looking at Real Madrid to strengthen their attack, a report from Spain claims.

AC Milan insists on Luka Jovic. The Serbian striker of Real Madrid is leaving in the summer after a disastrous first season in Spain. Jovic never settled in La Liga and is eager to change club when the transfer market opens. El Mundo Deportivo reports that AC Milan are interested in Jovic and will try to bring the 22-year-old centre forward at San Siro.

The Rossoneri want the former Eintracht Frankfurt to replace Zlatan Ibrahimovic. Zlatan’s contract expires at the end of the season and so far the parties have made have made little progress in renewal talks.

However, AC Milan are not the only Italian club to have moved for Jovic. Gennaro Gattuso’s Napoli have also been following him for some time, as a potential replacement for Arek Milik in attack.

Luka Jovic made his breakthrough in his two years at Eintracht Frankfurt. During that period he played together with AC Milan winger Ante Rebic. The two, together with Sebastien Haller, former a formidable attacking trio in Bundesliga.

However, reaching an agreement with Real Madrid will not be easy. Real paid 60 million euros to buy Jovic one year ago and will try to avoid a low-cost transfer. A loan with the right to buy could be the ideal solution for both Real Madrid and AC Milan. Not a simple but possible operation. Much will depend on the fate of Ibrahimovic and decisions of the Milanese leadership.
