Portuguese agent Jorge Mendes has offered AC Milan the chance to sign Lille midfielder Renato Sanchez in a recent meeting.
AC Milan are using this period of international break to advance renewal negotiations for several stars. One important player currently in talks to extend his contract until 2026 is Rafael Leao who is doing great this season.
Leao’s agent Jorge Mendes has met with the Rossoneri management and the agreement is considered just a matter of time. However, Jorge Mendes, who represents a big number of players, has used this meeting to talk about another clients of his. Namely. Renato Sanchez.
Sportitalia journalist Rudy Galetti reports that Mendes has offered Renato Sanchez to AC Milan. The Portuguese agent is well aware that the Rossoneri are looking for a replacement for Franck Kessie. The Ivorian midfielder is set to leave Milan at the end of the season and Maldini is searching for a box-to-box midfielder.
Renato Sanchez would be the ideal substitute of Kessie with both players having similar characteristics. After flopping at Bayern Munich, Sanchez has revitalized his career at Lille. The 24-year-old central midfielder is again a wanted player on the market after playing a key role in Lille’s Ligue 1 winning last season.
Renato Sanchez was supposed to leave during the summer but an injury changed his plans. The Portugal midfielder has a rating of 30-40 million euros but his contract expires in 2023. Selling Sanchez at the end of the season may represent Lille’s last chance of profiting from his sale. AC Milan continue to monitor the situation.
