AC Milan striker Rafael Leao could be on the move this summer. Jorge Mendes has received three offers for the Portuguese.
Keep him at any cost or rather sell him to the highest bidder? This is AC Milan’s big doubt regarding the fate of one of its most promising talents, Portuguese forward Rafael Leao. The number 17 has not yet fully convinced the Rossoneri with yet another season mostly positive but without continuity.
The Milanese management has always considered Rafael Leao an asset of the club, a footballer who has not yet blossomed but with incredible potential. He is very young, 22-years-old, but at the same time the Rossoneri believed that someone with his technical and athletic skills would be already making the difference in Serie A.
Nevertheless, a number of English clubs are ready to bet big on the former Lille. La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that the young striker could leave AC Milan this summer and continue his career in the Premier League.
Last Wednesday, the AC Milan management had a meeting with Jorge Mendes. Rafael Leao is a client of the well-known Portuguese agent like many of his compatriots. The future of the 22-year-old talent was the the main topic of the conversation.
Mendes informed AC Milan of three concrete interests from the Premier League. Paolo Maldini, on the other hand, reiterated how the investment made in 2019 for Leao was important and successful. In summary, the Portuguese forward remains an important element for the club and a future starter to be awaited with patience.
However, AC Milan are not closing the door to any offers. If Jorge Mendes presents a bid of at least 30 million euros, the Rossoneri would be quite tempted and will evaluate his sale. An important sacrifice to fund the summer mercato campaign. So far Wolverhampton, Everton and Olympique Marseille have expressed their interest in the former Lille.
