Inter are looking to exploit another Calhanoglu-like situation. The Nerazzurri are interested in AC Milan midfielder Franck Kessie.
It was already so before, but after the departures of Gianluigi Donnarumma and Hakan Calhanoglu, the renewal of Franck Kessie is the absolute priority at the Rossoneri club. The contract of the Ivorian midfielder, a big protagonist of AC Milan’s last season, runs down in one year.
Despite continuous contacts between Maldini and his agent George Atangana, the parties have been unable to find an agreement so far. AC Milan have offered Kessie a long-term contract at 4 million per season (currently earns 2.2 million) while the 24-year-old wants 6 million.
Considering the situation, Inter are lurking just like for Calhanoglu reports Tuttosport. Franck Kessie has been an Inter target since Antonio Conte’s time. The former Nerazzurri coach was a big admirer of the Ivorian central midfielder. At that time Inter proposed a swap with Matias Vecino but it was not taken into consideration by the Rossoneri.
Kessie remains the only signing of the Chinese era to have become a key figure at the San Siro. He arrived from Atalanta for a high transfer fee of 32 million euros in 2017.
“The Tank” has made over 180 appearances during his four years with the Rossoneri. Last season Kessie scored 14 goals and assisted 6 while skipping only 3 matches. AC Milan have every intention to keep their midfield dynamo despite Inter’s interest in his services.
