Injury update on Brahim Diaz, Kjaer and Florenzi

AC Milan attacking midfielder Brahim Diaz suffered a knee injury against Atletico Madrid that forced him to leave the match earlier.

Good news arrives regarding the conditions of Brahim Diaz. Yesterday, coach Stefano Pioli, after the Champions League match against Atletico Madrid, raised the alarm for the Spanish attacking midfielder. Brahim Diaz had a tendonitis injury in his knee which caused him to leave match limping.

The Spaniard is already feeling better and has done anti-fatigue work today. Thankfully he will be available for the upcoming match against Atalanta. Unlike Brahim Diaz, coach Stefano Pioli will have to prepare the next Serie A match with the services of Alessandro Florenzi.

The former Roma winger will be at the Villa Stuart clinic tomorrow for a consultation with Professor Mariani. Florenzi has been battling with a knee discomfort for quite some time that has prevented him from reaching the best physical condition.

There are two plausible options for Florenzi: the first is a long rest period for the player to return to full capacity, the other is a minimally invasive arthroscopic surgery. Tomorrow’s exams will determine his imminent future. The right winger has also informed the Italian national team he will not be available for the upcoming Nations League matches.

Another good news is the full recovery of Simon Kjaer. The Danish centre back missed the Atletico match as a precaution measure but will be available for the Atalanta match and he will probably start from the first minute in Bergamo. Ibrahimovic, Junior Messias, Bakayoko and Krunic are still injured and will probably return on the pitch after the international break.
