Il Giornale: Two reasons why to keep Montella
Difficult times in Casa Milan. From one side there are those who want the head of Montella while on the other side there are those who insist sacking him would be a bad decision.

2- Because entrusting the bench to another coach would mean opening another construction site and obliterating the work of least three months.
Il Giornale also notes the importance of Vincenzo Montella’s recovery of the old guard, that is, the senators of the past season who ended up in shadow with the arrival of new players. A step forward in the team’s re-grouping was the transfer of captaincy to Ignazio Abate in AC Milan vs Juventus, instead of Lucas Biglia (until that moment the vice of Leonardo Bonucci). A positive signal that can help the coach.
The newspaper writes that Abate, after weeks of staying out from the stating lineup, has fought like a lion and that now would be the case to give more space to Riccardo Montolivo, considering the disappointing performances of Lucas Biglia. The Milanese newspaper believes that it is the proper moment to relaunch the former captain, who in the hierarchies is also behind the young Manuel Locatelli. In addition to Suso, therefore, AC Milan should also restart from other elements of the “old guard”.
