Il Giornale: 3 Reasons to sell Donnarumma
An interesting analysis by Italian newspaper Il Giornale, which lists three main reasons why AC Milan should ditch Gianluigi Donnarumma this summer.
AC Milan goalkeeper Donnarumma is widely expected to leave the Rossoneri this summer. His agent is in negotiations with several clubs but so far the Red and Blacks have received no official offer. Il Giornale suggests that the Rossoneri should not think twice about selling Donnarumma.
Here are 3 important reasons why AC Milan should sell Gigio immediately.
1) Big capital gain. Regardless of whether the young goalkeeper is sold at 30-40 million euros as his agent Mino Raiola and the competition would prefer, or 60-70 million as the club hopes. In addition, the Rossoneri would save over the next 3 years of his remaining contract of 6 million euros net per season, a total of around 36 million gross.
2) The signing of reliable Spanish keeper Pepe Reina from Napoli is ideal for coach Gennaro Gattuso, who has asked the arrival of experienced players for the new season.
3) The sale of Gigio Donnarumma would interrupt once and for all the relationship with the troublesome Mino Raiola. The infamous agent has clashed continuously with sports director Mirabelli causing distress at Casa Milan.
