Ibrahimovic breaks Serie A record with Fiorentina goal

With his goal in Fiorentina-Milan, Zlatan Ibrahimovic set yet another record in his incredible career.

After a very difficult period, AC Milan return to the winning ways. The Rossoneri beat Fiorentina 3-2 away from San Siro thanks to goals from Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Brahim Diaz and Hakan Calhanoglu.

Fiorentina vs AC Milan was a very special match for the Swedish striker. Ibra scored immediately after his return on the pitch from the first minute and hit twice the posts. Today’s goal was Ibrahimovic’s 17th in 23 appearances across all competitions.

With today’s goal Zlatan Ibrahimovic breaks another record becoming the oldest striker in Serie A history to score at least 15 league goals. The Swede reached this milestone at the age of 39 years and 169 days.

Zlatan was clearly happy at the end of the match. “Winning after a defeat in Europe is very important. We have to fight for the Scudetto and today there was the right spirit and mentality. We overturned the result with character“.

When asked about his age and contract, Ibra replies: “It bothers me when they ask me about my age, I feel young. I want to prove that I deserve the renewal but everything is under control. I speak often with the club, maybe Maldini wants to put pressure on me (laughs)“.
