After Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s arrival, coach Stefano Pioli expects AC Milan to continue to move on the transfer market.
Tomorrow AC Milan host Sampdoria at the San Siro in what is going to be the Rossoneri’s first match of the new year. Milan vs Sampdoria will also mark Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s return at the Rossoneri.
Coach Stefano Pioli was obviously happy to have Zlatan under his orders. The Swedish centre forward is the only player in AC Milan’s roster to boasts an enviable world class experience and trophy wining career.
“His arrival has changed the environment, it is evident, you can feel it here in Milanello as well as outside. Ibra is not just any player, he is not just any personality, I like him very much. However, we should not think Ibra is the savior of the homeland but he will be an added value in our squad”, declared Pioli in today’s press conference.
Another topic discussed between the media and the coach was AC Milan next’s signing. “We have clear ideas on what we can improve. The club is willing to move on the market. I think we’re looking for a new defender“, said Stefano Pioli.
With Leo Duarte set to remain out for at least two months Milan need to sign a new centre back. AC Milan are negotiating with Barcelona for Jean-Clair Todibo. The Rossoneri are willing to close the definitive purchase of the 20-year-old centre back but Barcelona and the player want to have a buy-back clause. Talks are ongoing.
