EXCLUSIVE – Agent reveals the future of Andrea Conti
Mario Giuffredi, agent of Andrea Conti, clarifies the future of the Italian right-back after recent reports that he would leave on loan.
MILAN NEWS – Andrea Conti has become a transfer market topic in recent days after La Gazzetta dello Sport reported that AC Milan were considering the transfer of the Italian right-back on loan.
According to the newspaper, with Davide Calabria cementing his role as the starting right-back on the team, the Rossoneri believed that a season-long loan at another Serie A club, possibly Parma, would help the 25-year-old defender resume full fitness and play first team football in continuity.
However, Mario Giuffredi agent of Andrea Conti, in an exclusive interview with MilanNews rejected this option. The former Atalanta will stay at Milan and fight with Calabria for regular football.
“Conti will absolutely remain at AC Milan without a shadow of doubt. He is getting on well with coach Marco Giampaolo but Andrea will be happy only when he regains his Atalanta form. Unfortunately only injuries have held him back“, said Giuffredi.
In 2017 AC Milan invested €24 million to sign Andrea Conti from Atalanta. Due to two knee injuries Conti has made only 20 Serie A appearances over the past two years. Hopefully this season he will finally show his true potential.
