Giampaolo immediately imposes three rules to the team
The Rossoneri completed their first day of training at Milanello under new AC Milan coach Marco Giampaolo.
MILAN NEWS – A new season has began, the umpteenth in which Milan will try to rebuild itself, but this time the idea is to do it seriously and with the right choices. Marco Giampaolo will lead the Rossoneri in this new phase.
“Head up and play football” is the motto of the new AC Milan coach. From words to deeds. Marco Giampaolo wants to play football and he showed it right away, already at the very first training session at Milanello.
As Tuttosport points out today, the training first session of the Rossoneri, in fact, stood out for the immediate use of the ball. The coach has imposed three commands on his team: quality in play, maximum two touches to move the ball and to play without long passes. The game system, the basic one, will be 4-3-1-2.
Giampaolo’s former team Sampdoria was one of the most entertaining teams last season but one that conceded lots of goals. It will interested to see the evolution of the Rossoneri after playing with a rigid 4-3-3 lineup under Gennaro Gattuso.
The 29 players named in the squad for AC Milan’s camp were greeted by a large crowd outside the gates of Milanello as they arrived at the training centre this morning. There were a total of four absentees, Kessie, Cutrone, Paqueta and Diego Laxalt, who have been on international duty and will join the group over the next few weeks.
