Gds: Kessie could make stunning U-turn

AC Milan midfielder Franck Kessie is reportedly considering his stance after receiving no better offers from other clubs.

One of the hottest topics that has remained unsolved at AC Milan is the situation of Franck Kessie. The contract of the Ivorian central midfielder expires at the end of the season and he can leave as a free agent after failing to find an agreement with the Rossoneri

The 25-year-old is reportedly guaranteed to leave but Kessie could make a stunning U turn according to Gazzetta dello Sport. Franck seems to be reconsidering his initial stance reports Gazzetta. The motive comes not so much from the affection that the midfielder feels towards the club and fans, but for purely convenience reasons.

In fact, it seems that to date Kessie has not received a contract offer higher than that of Milan. For some time now, Paolo Maldini has put on the plate a proposal of 6.5 million euros per season, including bonuses. Kessie and his entourage have always answered firmly: either the players receives 10 million per year or he leaves on a fee transfer.

The problem is that no international club has so far offered Kessie a higher salary. Obviously, the underwhelming performances at the start of the season weigh heavily, as well as the disappointing Champions League adventure between expulsions and subdue displays.

A couple of European clubs are interested in Franck Kessie with PSG believed to be in pole position. Despite verbal offers PSG have not made a formal offer to Kessie. Same situation with Tottenham. It looks like interested clubs want to wait for the end of the season in order to judge comfortably the value of the 25-year-old midfielder. Such a situation has forced the player and the entourage to seriously consider the renewal with Milan.
