AC Milan CEO Ivan Gazidis will return in Italy soon to solve a couple of important issues for the club.
La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that AC Milan CEO Ivan Gazidis will make his return in Italy in the coming days. The treatment of the South African executive is progressing well and Gazidis fells now it’s the right time to return and take care of some business.
According to Gazzetta, the number one mission of Ivan Gazidis is the contract extension of Franck Kessie. The AC Milan executive has discussed the issue with Elliott Management is ready to give a definitive answer to this problem.
It is highly unlikely that AC Milan will improve their offer of 6 million per year plus bonuses rising up to 7 million for the final years of the contract. Despite his public statements that he loved Milan a lot and that he would stay here eternally, Kessie is not renewing and the chances of him staying are dramatically low.
Furthermore, his agent, George Atangana, has offered Franck Kessie to Inter and Juventus on a free transfer. A move that has shocked the management and was not at all welcomed by Elliott. Gazidis will arrive to clarify once and for all whether Kessie will renew or not.
At the same time, Gazidis will decide together with Maldini and Massara the transfer budget for the upcoming winter window. There is no predefined figure according to the club’s philosophy. All will depend on what’s need to improve the squad with a new winger/attacking midfielder a top priority.
