Several AC Milan player are expected to leave this summer with coach Pioli no longer requiring their services.

AC Milan are moving slowly on the market. Tommaso Pobega and Yacine Adli have returned under Pioli’s orders while Divock Origi is the only true new signing. The situation has been equally slow on the outgoing front. With the renewal of Maldini and Massara things are expected to accelerate especially regarding exits.

La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that AC Milan have a list of four expendable players that need to leave this summer. Paolo Maldini’s first difficult task will be to negotiate Bakayoko’s loan termination with Chelsea. The French midfielder joined the Rossoneri on a two-year loan with the obligation to buy under certain conditions. Pioli relied on his services sporadically last season and the arrival of Pobega and Adli will further limit his space.

AC Milan thought they had found the perfect back-up for Theo Hernandez in Fode Ballo-Toure. However, the 25-year-old had a disappointing first season at San Siro. Ballo-Toure made only 12 appearances with AC Milan since his 5 million transfer from Monaco. The left back enjoyed much more success with the Senegal national team.

With a rumored 50 million transfer budget at his disposal, Maldini needs to make an important sacrifice in order to investment for new signings. Alexis Saelemaekers is such a player who could leave if an offer of 20 million euros arrive. Milan have decided to rely on Junior Messias and add another right winger this summer. Saelemaekers could pay for his low productivity in front of the goal. A couple of German clubs are interested in the Belgian winger.

Another right winger who is set to leave this summer is Samuel Castillejo. The Spaniard arrived for over 20 million from Villarreal but has failed to justify the hefty transfer fee. Castillejo was practically out of Pioli’s team last season playing only 5 matches for a total of 124 minutes on the pitch. AC Milan are determined to sell the 27-year-old whose contract expires in one year. His available for 5 million.
