Gds: AC Milan outline January mercato strategy
AC Milan are planning their next mercato moves for January and beyond reports Gazzetta dello Sport.
Stefano Pioli can be said to be currently satisfied. His AC Milan squad has the necessary numbers and depth and, despite the many injuries so far, the Italian coach has had ample choices at his disposal and overcame this period without many problems.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, AC Milan will continue to improve their squad in January. The Rossoneri aim to win the Scudetto this season and at least two signings are expected in the winter mercato. Two old names top the list of AC Milan’s shopping list reports Gazzetta.
The first is that of Yacine Adli. The Bordeaux attacking midfielder is actually already a Milan player, signed in August but left on loan in France until next summer. However, the Rossoneri will likely try to anticipate his arrival in January. The 21-year-old can be a valid alternative to both Brahim Diaz and the midfielders, especially in case of Franck Kessie’s departure.
The other profile is that of the missed opportunity last August, Romain Faivre. The Brest winger who was one step away from AC Milan in the last day of the summer transfer window remains the Rossoneri’s top target. Faivre is having great performances so far scoring 2 goals and assisting 4 in 8 Ligue 1 appearances. Brest continue to rate Romain Faivre at 15 million euros.
AC Milan are also planning their moves for next summer. Young striker Lorenzo Lucca is taking Serie B by storm and has impressed the Rossoneri scouts. Goffrey Moncada has suggested his purchase and Milan are heading the race for Italy’s new jewel.
