AC Milan offer a very good performance at the Allianz stadium but that’s not enough to grab a point against Serie A leaders Juventus.
AC Milan leave Torino with no points but their heads held high after a valiant performance in their 1-0 loss against Juventus. A very good performances from the Rossoneri was not enough to avoid their ninth defeat at the Allianz stadium. The team showed heart and self-sacrifice, leaving everything on the pitch with some excellent spells at the home of the league leaders, but a moment of brilliance from Dybala at the 77th minute decided the match in Juve’s favor.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sports, the performance of Lucas Paqueta was the best among the Rossoneri while Krzysztof Piatek the biggest disappointment of the night. Once again the Polish striker is heavily criticized for his underwhelming displays.
The Italian newspaper is not impressed by the performance of the Rossoneri’s captain. Alessio Romagnoli is responsible for Paulo Dybala’s goal. Instead 6.5 for Gianluigi Donnarumma who avoids the 2-0 from the Argentine striker.
Andrea Conti (6.5) played his best match this season. Leo Duarte (6) does not tremble in front of Cristiano Ronaldo while Theo Hernandez (6) is tireless as usual on the left flank. Praise for Lucas Paqueta (6.5), he does what a modern central midfielder must do. He fights, passes and shoots. His department colleagues Ismael Bennacer and Rude Krunic did well also, 6 for both.
This situation is very different in attack. Piatek (5) is too isolated up front and he’s rarely a danger for the opponents. Suso (5.5) and Hakan Calhanoglu (5) fail to do better. The Spaniard has clearly not recovered from his fitness issues while Calhanoglu is limited to a couple of shots from outside the box. Rafael Leao (5) was non-existent in the second-half, the same is valid for Giacomo Bonaventura (5.5 )
