Gazzetta: AC Milan preparing €45m purchase
AC Milan are planning to invest 45 million euros for one player. A top level name that will probably be a midfielder.
MILAN NEWS – In comparison to other clubs AC Milan are a bit behind in transfer business. Juventus, Napoli and Inter have been the most active Italian clubs on the market while Roma and in a similar situation.
Now that the Rossoneri have resolved their differences with UEFA, the management is fully concentrated on the transfer market. After Rade Krunic signed from Empoli, Theo Hernandez is the second summer signing. AC Milan have purchased the 21-year-old left-back for 20 million euros from Real Madrid. Now, Maldini and Boban’s attention is in midfield.
Many names have been linked with Milan and, despite the economic prudence, the Rossoneri will invest an important figure for a top player. According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, AC Milan have decided to invest 45 million, nearly half of their reported summer budged, for a single player.
Two are the transfer target that have a similar market value. The first is Lucas Torreira of Arsenal. The Uruguay international would be the perfect player for coach Marco Giampolo abut the English club wants more than 50 million for his services. The second and most likely to arrive at San Siro is Dani Ceballos.
The 22-year-old central midfielder recently won the European Championship with Spain U-21. Real Madrid want to sell him and the player is aware that he won’t be given enough minutes under coach Zidane. Ceballos wants more play time and AC Milan have promised to make an absolute protagonist at San Siro.
The two clubs are negotiating and the transfer formula (loan with right to buy or immediate purchase) is the only issue to solved. AC Milan have agreed personal terms with the player and also a transfer fee with Real Madrid.
