It ends 0-0 at San Siro. It’s not a positive result for either side as AC Milan push to close the gap with the top four in the few remaining fixtures and Napoli fight to win the Scudetto.
AC Milan and Napoli have to settle for a point each despite the excellent display on the pitch. The Azzurri of Sarri offer a partially sparkling game while the Rossoneri of Gattuso rely more on balance and a rediscovered compactness. Yet the big match of San Siro was full of ups and downs, even from the individual point of view.
As usual La Gazzetta dello Sport publishes the ratings for each Milan player part of yesterday’s game against the fearsome Napoli. Many good performances by the Rossoneri, with Gianluigi Donnarumma in particular, without a doubt the man of the match with some excellent saves and that miracle in the final moments on Milik. A well deserved 8 for the young AC Milan goalkeeper followed by a surprising 7 for Cristian Zapata, almost perfect in his duty to replace Bonucci. Positive outing also for Lucas Biglia (6.5) always at the center of the action and Rodriguez, more serene and concentrated in his duel with Callejon.
Sufficient game, full of positive accelerations and transient amnesia for Bonaventura, Suso and Calhanoglu (6). The three Rossoneri elements that should inject fantasy proved to be tired but always very alive when it comes to maneuvering. An awful performance again by Nikola Kalinic who returns as a starter (5) with yet another impalpable display that deserves the whistles of San Siro.
